Sylvia Ellis

As a certified registered nurse, Sylvia has almost 30 years of multi-disciplinary nursing experience. She is a 1991 graduate of Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA.
Over the course of her working career, she has worked in outpatient and inpatient oncology, pediatrics, internal medicine, outpatient surgeries/procedures, blood disorder centers, and pharmacovigilance.
Sylvia’s recent positions within pharmacovigilance have been at Watson Pharmaceuticals, AbbVie, Gilead, and most currently with the Contract Research Organization (CRO) Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD, Inc).
In her current role as a Senior Safety Specialist with PPD, she has gained a solid understanding of the pharmacovigilance policies and procedures, preparing her to confidently serve as a senior principal trainer and mentor.She collaborates with her peers, senior management and clients to develop strategic plans and activities to positively impact and optimize processes and workflow within the scope of signal detection and drug safety reporting to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). With this background, she brings experience in collaborating with healthcare and non-health care stakeholders.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in nature, gardening, taking long walks, cooking, reading, learning and teaching.
Sylvia’s current professional memberships include the Illinois Nursing Association. Past professional memberships include the State Board of Nursing in the following states – California, Washington State, North Carolina, Oregon and New Jersey. She has also held toxicology accreditation from the National Association of Poison Control Centers (NAPCC).

Bob McRae

Bob Murray has been an entrepreneur, community advocate and donor his whole life. Currently, Bob is CEO of McRae Imaging in Mississauga, Ontario co-leading the organization for the last 23 years.
Throughout his career, Bob has been actively involved in volunteering and raising funds on multiple boards including serving as a board member for Youth in Motion. He has been very involved with Tennis Canada and the charities Parkinson Canada, Bladder Cancer and Heart and Stroke as well.
Bob and his wife Geraldine live in Oakville and love spending time in Niagara on the Lake with their family and watching tennis. They have 6 children and 5 grandchildren and their woodle, Ellie to add to the loving mix.
Bob is honored to be able to listen, learn, share, and serve on the board.
